This module is meant to provide a standalone ARTNET node on a WIFI network.

Because of its history, the module will also work with OLA or QLC+, but our other DMX boards are more suited for that. 

Again, the Wifi part of this board is able to communicate with Arjan's embedded software. It will not show up as a Wifi interface in Linux or something like that. In theory it would be possible to make that, but someone has to find the time to make the Linux software for that. 

This is normally intended to run a segment of DMX cabling away from where the wired Ethernet reaches. Normally you'd use a cheap raspberry pi like a model A, A+ or zero. But it will work with a B or B+ as well. But keep in mind that Arjan's software does not (yet?) run on raspberry pi 3.
